About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Merchandise Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing of merchandise, and providing an excellent customer experience. The Merchandise Coordinator will also train and mentor Associates on merchandising principles, manage back stock, and ensure compliance with store policies and safety standards. This is a full-time position within a Fortune 100 company and a leading off-price retailer.

Responsibilities

Executing receiving and merchandising standards
Ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team
Creating a positive internal and external customer experience
Orchestrating truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
Training and mentoring Associates on established merchandising and processing principles
Ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
Communicating with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
Ensuring Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizing as needed
Monitoring productivity of team and coaching as necessary
Organizing and rotating back stock for easy replenishment
Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards
Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area
Ensuring compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs
Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; providing progress updates
Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
Partnering with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
Ensuring adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Promoting credit and loyalty programs
Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Promoting safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
Other duties as assigned
