About The Position

This role involves assisting clients with questions and purchases in the shop, ensuring the shop is clean and stocked, and contributing to the overall retail operations. The Merchandise Clerk will be responsible for selling, ticketing, and displaying merchandise, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining operational standards.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Retail experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Selling merchandise, ticketing it, and displaying it in the Golf Shop or other resort retail outlets.
  • Welcoming customers with enthusiasm and assisting them with their merchandise needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Providing the highest standards of service to resort guests and club members, accurately ringing up charges at the register, and adhering to proper cash handling procedures.
  • Focusing attention on member and guest needs, remaining calm, professional, and courteous at all times.
  • Assisting the Director of Retail with inventory controls, checking in merchandise, organizing storage and display areas, and maintaining inventory levels of stocked items.
  • Sharing merchandise needs with the Director of Retail.
  • Following up on special orders and ensuring customers are aware of order receipt.
  • Performing close of business functions according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensuring daily assignments are completed to meet club standards, including maintaining orderly work areas, straightening entry areas, and picking up trash/debris.
  • Assisting fellow Employee Partners, Members, and guests to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Participating as a team member, being aware of the environment and team members.
  • Notifying supervisors of member/guest complaints and rectifying complaints as soon as possible using service recovery practices.
