About The Position

The Temporary Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role supports a positive store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect; processes purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and follows merchandising and merchandise-processing procedures. The associate also supports store recovery, cleanliness, shrink-reduction, and safety efforts, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
