TEMP P/T MERCHANDISE ASSOCIATE
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models positive customer service and store culture, processes purchases and returns accurately, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and prepares and maintains merchandise according to company standards. The position also supports store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink reduction efforts, follows labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience and model established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
