About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained across multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture and contributes to merchandising, sales-floor recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
