About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and following operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role also supports store culture, recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts, and may include other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Ring customer purchases and returns accurately and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
