About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates support a positive store culture, accurately handle customer transactions and merchandise, promote credit and loyalty programs, and help maintain store recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the company merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
