About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained across multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor. The role also supports merchandising, store recovery, cleanliness, loss prevention, and safety efforts, while following labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
