About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, safety, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates promote a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.

The position includes accurately processing customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising standards, and participating in store recovery and shrink-reduction activities. Associates also help maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the store and follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

The position is at Marshalls Store 0403 in Kennesaw, Georgia. Starting pay is $13.25–$13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
