About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Part-Time Merchandise Associate/Cashier who will be responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This role adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. The role models established customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and accurately handles customer purchases and returns. The associate will promote credit and loyalty programs, maintain merchandising standards, and process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor. They will also participate in store recovery, maintain organizational and cleanliness standards, and provide and accept feedback. Adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures, as well as supporting shrink reduction goals and safety awareness, are key components of this role. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Accurately ringing customer purchases/returns and counting change back to customer
Promoting credit and loyalty programs
Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and following established merchandising procedures and standards
Accurately processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed throughout the day
Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participating in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
Adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
