About The Position

The Merchandise Assistant supports the buying office by handling the data entry function and direct connection with our GCC support teams. This position provides first-hand insight into the buying office and offers potential career progression through the Merchant Organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• Previous experience in retail, service, or other fast paced environments
• Must be analytical, articulate, and organized
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must work confidently both independently and in a teamwork environment
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively
• Quick study on new computer systems and quickly understands and incorporates new system functionality
• Strong follow up and follow through to make sure all tasks are taken to full completion

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with buying offices and GCC
• Communicate effectively with Buyers and Assistant Buyers
• Inputs detailed item attribute information into systems
• Works with online team to ensure all merchandise is loaded to web in a timely manner
• Addresses receiving/quality assurance issues with warehouse
• Maintains Item updates and adjustments through full life cycle
• Input essential data to create and track items
• Maintain item updates and adjustments through full life cycle
• Provide administrative support to the buying division as needed
• Perform additional tasks as required
