About The Position

DPR Construction is seeking a superintendent with at least 5 years of commercial construction experience. Previous experience with healthcare/medical experience is required. Superintendents work closely with all members of the project team and supervise all craft employees. They will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and mentoring assistant superintendents, creating and updating construction schedules, monitoring logic relationships, inserting new activities and impacts, coordinating jobsite logistics, maintaining relationships with neighboring occupants, negotiating with authorities having jurisdiction to achieve project occupancy milestones, leading DPR’s injury-free environment safety program, coordinating subcontractor work scopes, scheduling, and resource-loading in conjunction with DPR’s self-perform work crews, fostering the development of foremen to grow into future superintendents, and professionally representing DPR field operations as the primary interface with the owner and design team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent, preferably within DPR’s core market projects.
  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective participation in a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Prolog or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
  • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Healthcare/medical experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent DPR field operations as primary interface with owner and design team.
