The MEP Superintendent is responsible for the coordination of the scheduling and installation of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems. This role involves assisting in developing installation sequences, establishing milestones, and managing testing schedules for various systems. The superintendent will also oversee shop drawings, submittals, and ensure proper scope coordination among all trades. Additionally, the position requires reviewing preliminary estimates, subcontractor budgets, and proposals, as well as facilitating VDC processes where applicable. The role involves detailed coordination of systems such as underground, interstitial space, wall framing, roof, life safety, power, medical equipment, and low voltage systems. Other responsibilities include participating in subcontractor meetings, monitoring on-site work, inspecting off-site materials, assisting the Project Manager with change orders, and developing temporary systems. The superintendent will also make recommendations on subcontractor performance, review payment requests, maintain relationships with inspectors, and document final close-out. Travel and supervision of multiple projects over a large geographic area may be required.
