Job Summary: The overall goal of the MEP Project Manager is to deliver high-quality, fully functional MEP systems on schedule and within budget while promoting collaboration and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field and appropriate experience successfully managing construction projects for a general contractor from conception to completion.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing MEP systems on large-scale commercial or industrial projects (data center experience strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with design teams to review drawings, specifications, and ensure constructability.
  • Monitor installation for compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
  • Track budgets and manage cost impacts related to design or scope adjustments.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of all MEP-related plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and environmental regulations related to MEP work.
  • Participate in client presentations and project meetings (e.g., coordination meetings, commissioning meetings, weekly subcontractor meetings).
  • Submit close-out documents, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
  • Complete and retain all required project documentation (hard copies and electronically, via Procore) as per policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and guide project engineers and MEP coordinators; foster collaboration across disciplines.
  • Communicate regularly with project leadership regarding progress, issues, and changes impacting MEP scope.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and turnover of MEP systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Develop and maintain detailed MEP schedules aligned with overall project milestones.
  • Lead MEP coordination meetings with trade partners, consultants, and internal teams to resolve conflicts and maintain schedule.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment to manage all aspects of MEP systems delivery.
