The MEP Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of the HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Protection Systems. This role involves assisting in the development of installation sequences, establishing milestones for system completion, and creating schedules for pre-testing and individual component testing. The coordinator will also manage shop drawing and submittal schedules, identify long-lead items, and assist in job close-out procedures, including the submission of as-builts, O&M manuals, and owner training. Key responsibilities include reviewing shop drawings and submittals for compliance with contract documents and scope coordination among trades, ensuring proper space coordination for elements like ductwork and piping. In estimating and preconstruction, the role supports the development of preliminary estimates and schedules, reviews subcontractor budgets and proposals, and ensures compliance with the general contract. Additional duties involve participating in subcontractor meetings, arranging special coordination meetings, monitoring on-site work for contract compliance, inspecting equipment and materials, identifying inter-trade coordination needs, assisting with change order reviews, developing temporary system programs, making recommendations on subcontractor performance, reviewing payment requests, and maintaining relationships with building inspectors.
