Requirements

Previous experience in a hospital food service, large healthcare setting, or patient meal coordination role.
Strong understanding of diet codes, allergy management and modified texture diets (IDDSI).
Confident using computer systems and able to learn new software quickly.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with dietitians, nurses, and kitchen staff.
High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Must have, or be willing to obtain, a National Police Clearance and WWCC.
Availability for early morning shift coverage (6:00am or 6:30am starts).

Responsibilities

Accurately review and enter patient meal orders, ensuring all diet codes, allergies, and clinical restrictions are correctly applied.
Liaise with clinical staff to confirm nutritional requirements, modified diets and any changes to patient conditions.
Communicate clearly with kitchen teams to ensure meals are prepared according to patient needs and IDDSI guidelines.
Verify and cross‑check orders before meal production to maintain safety and accuracy.
Maintain up‑to‑date records of dietary changes, special requests and patient meal preferences.
Use hospital meal‑ordering software Net-menu (CBORD) to manage meal selections.
