The Mentoring Program Coordinator for the My Brother's Keeper Native American Program plays a critical role in advancing Salamanca's mission to create opportunities that remove barriers and elevate student voice. This role involves building meaningful connections, fostering a sense of belonging, and supporting students in reaching their full potential both in and beyond the classroom. The work of a Mentoring Program Coordinator involves responsibility for planning, oversight and administration of a student mentoring program with a goal toward improving both academic performance and social behavior. The incumbent is responsible for recruiting, interviewing and training student and adult volunteers and monitoring their performance. This is a 12-month, 8 hours per day, non-competitive Civil Service appointment under the NYSCS HELP program.
