About The Position

New Haven is a leading residential treatment center dedicated to healing and transformation for adolescent girls (ages 14–18) and their families. We provide trauma-informed, relationship-based care in a warm, home-like setting, integrating therapeutic support with accredited academics. Our focus is on trauma recovery, family systems, emotional regulation, and mental health. On-Call Youth Mentors have the flexibility to choose shifts that fit their availability, with a 24-hour weekly minimum and a Sunday requirement. Shifts are available any day, AM or PM, and on-call staff are not expected to be available 24/7.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 21 years old or older
  • Current driver's license and a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check
  • Willing to make a 8-month minimum commitment
  • Willing to get Food Handlers Permit before first day of work

Nice To Haves

  • Studying or have a background in psychology, social work, behavioral science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to meal preparation while promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Attend and engage in group sessions with students, fostering a sense of community.
  • Maintain a safe environment, ensuring the well-being of our students.
  • Uphold professional boundaries while building trust and rapport.
  • Collaborate with therapists to implement interventions aligned with each teen's treatment plan.
