Mental Health Worker - Co-Ed Adolescent Mood Disorder Unit, PRN
About The Position
The Co-Ed Adolescent Mood Disorder Unit is for the multi-disciplinary assessment, evaluation, crisis intervention, and stabilization of adolescent female and male patients. This is a per diem position that requires availability to work 12-hour shifts, days and nights, including weekends. Under the close supervision of a licensed nurse, you will play an essential role in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on individual behaviors and conditions. To prepare for the responsibilities of this role, you will begin extended clinical orientation and training immediately following your first day of employment through Sheppard Pratt’s Clinical Education Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
Nice To Haves
- An advanced degree in a human services field is strongly preferred, either in progress or already obtained.
- Past direct care or related experience is strongly preferred.
