The Mental Health Worker provides assistance with activities of daily living and patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff. This role supports unit functions, maintains a safe and clean environment, and acts as part of the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include documenting patient care, communicating pertinent patient information, performing clerical duties, and providing basic nursing care for adult and geriatric patients. The role operates within established guidelines and regulatory requirements. For the outpatient setting, the Mental Health Worker assists with the activities of daily living program and individual treatment plans for psychiatric patients under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, RN, and Program Director.
