About The Position
The Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Unit is a specialized inpatient unit for the psychiatric evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of adults with co-occurring developmental and psychiatric disorders. This is a 6-bed unit that offers a behavioral approach to care for these dually diagnosed adults. This is a full-time, 36 hours/week position that requires availability to work 12 hour shifts (7am-7pm) and every other weekend.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED.
- Must be available to work 36 hours per week and every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Human Services related degree or past direct care, or related experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
- Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
- Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
