About The Position

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Mental Health Worker to join the Behavioral Health team at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital. The role works in the Behavioral Health Unit to provide a safe and healthy treatment environment through direct patient care, observation of patient behavior, data collection, and group and individual interventions that support psychiatric patients’ recovery and rehabilitation. The position is 32 hours per week on the evening shift, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Services.
• AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Broad practical understanding of life experiences and ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care in a safe and effective manner.
• Perform and document vital signs, activities of daily living (ADLs), patient observations, and other patient care activities.
• Respond rapidly to emergency call lights and perform safety checks.
• Communicate effectively with patients.
• Use problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and positive communication skills in teamwork.
• Collect data and provide group and individual interventions to support patients’ recovery and rehabilitation.
