About The Position

Provides role as patient advocate through his/her own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients’ needs for service. Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically patients’ activities of daily living. Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups.

Requirements

• Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
• Candidate must have excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• CNA preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred

Responsibilities

• Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital service standards.
• Provides role as patient advocate through his/ /her own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients' needs for service.
• Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically patients’ activities of daily living.
• Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups.
• Commits to self-development as it pertains to the role of mental health worker.

Benefits

• Sign on bonus of $10,000 for new hire Staff Nurse, Night shift only. The first half is paid at 6 months and the second half will be paid at one year of employment.
• 2% Pay Differential Available to Applicants who maintain an Active CNA License.
