Established in 1992, Preventative Aftercare is committed to keeping families together by providing quality home based services to at-risk children, youth, adolescents and their families in their homes, schools and communities. We are looking for community-based in-home Mental Health Workers and Mental Health Professionals (counselors). George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare is committed to assisting families in establishing safety, permanency, stability and well-being. The Counselor in this distinct, community-based position will provide services and trauma informed care to a caseload of seven to ten families referred throughout the county for Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation. The Counselor will provide services within the community, schools and homes. Evidence based practices and various treatment modalities will be utilized to engage families. Collaboration with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs and other community support organizations is a priority for the counselor in this position.
