About The Position

Connect with and learn from peers and supervisors. TriCity Family Services (TCFS) is a 501c3 non-profit community mental health center serving central and southern Kane County Illinois. TCFS has two offices (Geneva and St. Charles) and offers a hybrid work schedule. Requirements

Master's degree in a mental health discipline or related field from a clinical program at an accredited school.
Sensitivity to, and respect for, cultural differences
Good knowledge of the behavioral dynamics of individuals and groups
Working knowledge of DSM V TR
Good knowledge of the theory and techniques of mental health assessment, crisis intervention and counseling
Basic knowledge of community resources
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
The employee in this position must have their own transportation as a portion of the work may occur at other agencies and in clients' homes.

Responsibilities

Provides assessment, linkage, and referral services to both prospective and current agency clients, including Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders program clients as appropriate
Conducts diagnostic assessments and prepares written summaries
Provides counseling services to individuals, families and groups
Provides crisis intervention, stabilization and case management services to at-risk youth and their families
In consultation with the Director of Emotional Wellness Program, Development Team, Clinical Director and Manager of the Employee Assistance Program, participates in providing presentations to the community
Participates in networking efforts with other area service providers
At a minimum meets bi-weekly with the Clinical Director for supervision
Attends weekly staff meetings
Participates in training and staff development events and activities
Provides clinical and statistical documentation as required
Will meet expected direct service hours and maintain case record compliance
Performs other duties as required.
