About The Position

Blue Ridge Health is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join their Recovery Education Center (REC) Team. The Mental Health clinician is responsible for providing outpatient mental health treatment/service to patients in the Recovery Education center settings. This position provides assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to individuals with a broad range of mental health and substance abuse issues and assists in coordinating care for individuals across programs. The position requires interaction with provider agencies and referral sources, participating in team meetings when appropriate and as requested, and offering education and support to the community. This role requires flexibility to transport clients/patients to organization-sponsored services or resources that address their basic and clinical needs. Drivers transporting clients/patients or driving company vehicles are to be age 21 or greater. For those using their personal vehicles to transport clients/patients, a certificate of insurance is required demonstrating at least the minimum required NC auto liability insurance.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Required (fully or provisionally licensed or license eligible)
  • Ability to perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop and implement viable treatment plans
  • Experience in individual and group therapy including recovery work
  • Excellent listening and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years clinical work experience preferred
  • LCAS or LCAS-A licensure a plus
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred
  • Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities
