About The Position

Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Mental Health Therapist for Partnership Health in Hamilton, NJ. This is an outpatient office serving employees of the Hamilton Township and First Responders. The center is looking for clinical therapists with crisis management and trauma experience. This Partnership Health Center is offering a full-time position with 8-hour workdays, Monday through Friday. An active LCSW or LPC license issued by the Office of NJ Consumer Affairs is required to practice therapy in New Jersey.

Requirements

  • Active LCSW or LPC license provided by the Office of NJ Consumer Affairs.
  • Clinical experience as a self-directed/motivated mental health professional.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and community resources.
  • Ability to be a team player and collaborate with others under the direction of the Medical Director(s).
  • Excellent time management skills; organized and able to prioritize.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), as well as other software programs such as Electronic Medical Records is a plus.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times with regard to protected health information, understanding and adhering to HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies and Procedures.
  • A Master’s degree is required.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience post-licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with First Responder’s or trauma centered population is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with patient, staff and physician/coordinate care according to the patient's needs.
  • Facilitate individual and/or group counseling services.
  • Provide and score assessment screening tools as indicated.
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients according to the DSM V and ASAM criteria.
  • Develop appropriate treatment goals with clients and work collaboratively to accomplish treatment goals.
  • Document the assessment of patient progress and interventions provided in the medical record (EMR) on an ongoing basis.
  • Recognize, respond to, and assist in psychiatric crisis situations and provide the intervention(s) necessary, including referral to other resources.
