About The Position

The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling to students in the schools served. The therapist will be responsible to teach a Social and Emotional program to all the classes in the assigned school. Assisting principals and education staff in the best ways to handle challenging behavior. This is a 10-month position with a work schedule of August 1 - May 31.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work with licensure in the State of Ohio; Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Independent Social worker.
  • Experience providing mental health treatment to a variety of clientele.
  • Successful experience working with people from various social and cultural communities.
  • Valid driver's license and low risk driving record and is insurable by the University.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
  • Mental health counseling experience in a K-12 school setting.
  • Knowledge of Catholic schools and their culture.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working independently and productively.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working as part of a team.
  • Successful demonstration of flexibility in day to day activities.
  • Demonstrated successful experience building and sustaining relationship and partnerships with school staff and community.
