Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social sciences with an emphasis in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related fields (must be willing to obtain related board licensure).
  • Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Confidentiality is required - confidentiality agreement signed upon hiring.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy while creating a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web-based systems, programs, or platforms.
  • Ability to create a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Duties may require occasional after-hours work and travel to organizational sites.
  • Required training/certifications provided by the organization including CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all clinical documentation in accordance with Managed Care Organization (MCO) requirements, payer expectations, Emory Valley Center policies, and applicable licensing or accrediting entities.
  • Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments to identify mental health, behavioral, emotional, psychosocial, and functional needs of individuals receiving services within the scope of licensure and supervision.
  • Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans, Plan of Care (POC) goals, therapeutic interventions, and measurable outcomes aligned with each person’s Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP) and identified needs.
  • Conduct individual, group, and/or family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices to support clients' mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards related to clinical practice and documentation.
