California EMDR Remote Mental Health Therapist
About The Position
Marvin Behavioral Health delivers teletherapy designed specifically for doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, addressing the unique challenges of their demanding work. Requirements
- Independent licensure in California as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist
- EMDR training or certification is required for this role, as well as experience utilizing EMDR via telehealth
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapy to adults
- Experience providing therapy to healthcare professionals, mental healthcare workers, and/or first responders
- Availability for at least 10-15 hours per week
- Comfort delivering therapy via video platforms, using EHRs, digital scheduling tools, and Google Workspace
- Ability to incorporate assessment and measurement-based tools (i.e. PHQ-9) to monitor progress and improve treatment outcomes
- Experience utilizing evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, EMDR or Gottman Method
- Commitment to practicing cultural humility and patient-centered care

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, confidential teletherapy sessions on our HIPAA-compliant video platform (Zoom) to doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals
- Use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or Gottman Method
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes in our streamlined EHR
- Incorporate measurement-based tools (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7) to monitor progress and improve outcomes
