About The Position

At CoreLife, we go beyond symptom management. Our integrated approach combines: Medical care, Nutrition counseling, Behavioral health therapy, Exercise and lifestyle support. We are combating obesity as the disease it is—and empowering patients to achieve sustainable, long-term health outcomes. We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT) to support our Silver Spring clinic. This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys variety, collaboration, and relationship-building across multiple clinical teams. You will play a key role in delivering behavioral health interventions within our integrated care model, supporting patients managing obesity and related chronic conditions.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in: Social Work Counseling Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Active Maryland licensure required: LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or LCMFT (Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist)
  • 1–2+ years of clinical experience (behavioral health, outpatient, or integrated care preferred)
  • Experience working with adults and/or adolescents
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on behavior change and lifestyle modification
  • Provide evidence-based therapy (CBT, motivational interviewing, etc.)
  • Support patients with emotional, behavioral, and psychological barriers to weight management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Engage patients to improve retention, adherence, and outcomes
