About The Position

Pasadena Villa Outpatient is seeking Full-Time Therapists to join their team in Chantilly, VA. This facility specializes in outpatient care for adults (18+) with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and co-occurring conditions. They offer a continuum of care within the Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare Network, including inpatient, intensive residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services nationwide. The team is dedicated to client-centered care and clinical excellence, emphasizing respect, accountability, integrity, flexibility, collaboration, and service. The role involves providing individual and group therapy, assessing therapeutic needs, developing treatment plans, and acting as a primary contact and advocate for clients and families. Therapists also serve as liaisons with referral sources and clinical partners to coordinate care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology.
  • Hold or be working toward VA licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC).
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized Outpatient facility.
  • Assess the therapeutic needs of individuals and families and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process.
  • Serve as a client advocate with the treatment team.
  • Act as a liaison with referral sources, clinical partners, and individuals to coordinate care.
  • Exemplify 5 Star Service to clients, team members, referents, and families.
  • Demonstrate high clinical skill in assessing client needs, determining interventions, and conducting therapy sessions.
  • Complete psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans, and other required reports in compliance with State, accrediting bodies, quality guidelines, and payor source guidelines.
  • Conduct weekly individual and family therapy sessions for assigned caseload.
  • Monitor behavioral interventions and provide skills coaching as needed.
  • Conduct specialized groups as assigned based on education, training, and experience.
  • Supervise or co-lead groups with staff or interns when appropriate.
  • Select appropriate interventions to meet the clinical needs of individual clients.
  • Maintain therapeutic relationships with clients using praise and other reinforcers.
  • Set limits and hold boundaries in a kind and firm manner.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge.
  • Attend weekly clinical, consultation, and business meetings; present cases as pre-assigned.
  • Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner reflecting ongoing assessment of client's clinical presentation and behaviors.
  • Communicate client progress with referral sources, family, parents, or guardians, informing them of treatment goals and plans as appropriate.
  • Document services provided, incident reports, shift reports, or department reports in accordance with policies and procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
