About The Position

Elevate Mental Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you will be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone. In 2025, Northlight Counseling Associates of Arizona and Phoenix Mental Health and Wellness of Arizona joined forces to become Elevate Mental Health. Together, Elevate Mental Health proudly provides comprehensive medication management and counseling services, both virtually and in-office, to individuals and families throughout Arizona. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
  • Clear, active and unrestricted license that allows you to practice without supervision (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) in Arizona
  • Comfortable providing care both in person and via telehealth within an integrated setting serving patients with behavioral health needs
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and remain organized while managing a focused caseload
  • Value autonomy and flexibility in setting a weekly
  • Can effectively deliver evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions to outpatient clients (individuals, couples, and families) with varying levels of readiness for change

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of professional experience post master’s degree providing behavioral health services
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness
  • Interested in contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on high-quality client care
  • Appreciate comprehensive administrative support, including credentialing and business operations
  • Seeking professional development opportunities and participation in consultation and supervision groups

Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance use disorders
  • Provide treatment using evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and other modalities
  • Track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in symptoms or complications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
