About The Position

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join the Marisol Health team. This role involves providing clinical assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, and case management to OB/Gyn patients, expectant women, fathers, and their families. The therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary, collaborative care team, offering expert consultation and ensuring the integration of services within Catholic Charities and with community resources. The position focuses on comprehensive behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, with an emphasis on evidence-based psychotherapy for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and attachment-related concerns. The therapist will also provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians and collaborate closely with OB/GYN providers and other healthcare professionals to support integrated care delivery.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, or PsyD) in the state of Colorado.
• Demonstrated experience providing evidence-based treatment for trauma-related disorders, including both acute and complex trauma.
• Training and/or certification in at least one evidence-based trauma modality (e.g., CPT, TF-CBT, EMDR, or equivalent).
• Master’s degree (MA/MS/MSW) or doctorate degree from accredited college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training in the field of counseling psychology, social work, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with perinatal populations, including pregnant and postpartum women.
• Clinical experience supporting parents, infants, and young children, including dyadic or family-based treatment approaches.
• Knowledge of attachment theory and experience addressing attachment-related concerns in early childhood.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of perinatal mental health, early childhood mental health, and trauma-informed practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients in an OB/GYN clinic.
• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, anxiety, OCD, and birth-related trauma.
• Assess and treat current and historical trauma, including complex trauma, intimate partner violence, and adverse childhood experiences.
• Utilize evidence-based trauma treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), EMDR, and other validated modalities.
• Provide dyadic and family-based interventions to support the parent–child relationship, attachment, and early childhood development.
• Address attachment disruptions in infants and young children using developmentally appropriate, relationship-based approaches.
• Provide case-specific clinical supervision and documentation review to pre-licensed clinicians and unlicensed professionals.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN providers, midwives, lactation consultants, and care coordinators to support integrated care delivery.
• Participate in warm handoffs and same-day behavioral health consultations within the clinic setting.
• Deliver brief, solution-focused interventions as well as longer-term therapy when clinically indicated.
• Provide psychoeducation on perinatal mental health, trauma, and infant/early childhood development.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in case consultation, interdisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform appropriate case management; refer clients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
• Document client contacts and progress in accordance with accepted charting standards.
• Consult with groups and individuals when needed.
• Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources and community agencies.
• Document client contacts and progress in accordance with agency’s electronic health records systems and in compliance with program requirements.
• Complete necessary administrative duties timely and accurately.
• Provide education, training and/or planning in mental health human service issues as appropriate.
