Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required
- Current Florida credential as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), LPC, LMFT, or LCSW
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children and/or families, including internships and volunteer experience
- Experience conducting assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapy services
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment models, trauma-informed care, and best practices in mental health services
- Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while managing a diverse caseload
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance required for community-based service delivery, when applicable
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and utilize standardized tools to identify client needs, establish diagnoses when appropriate, and inform individualized treatment planning
- Develop treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives in collaboration with individuals, families, and treatment team members
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions that address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral disorders, and other emotional challenges
- Monitor client progress, maintain consistent contact and follow-up, adjust treatment plans as needed, and coordinate referrals to additional resources and support services
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and coordination with emergency resources when necessary to ensure client safety and continuity of care
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with all payer, regulatory, licensing, accreditation, and organizational requirements
