About The Position

Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services, Inc. (CRCSI) is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to provide group therapy and behavioral interventions at our New Directions program. This role involves leading engaging group therapy sessions, implementing individualized behavior management strategies, working towards alleviating mental health symptoms, and collaborating with educators, families, and treatment teams. The program operates a PA Department of Education Licensed Private Academic School serving K-12 students, focusing on providing mental health treatment alongside academic support, reducing the need for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, and offering step-down services for children transitioning from higher levels of care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in the human service field.
One + year mental health experience preferred.
PA State Criminal, Child Abuse Certification, and FBI Clearances.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing challenging behaviors.
Experience creating positive change.
Background as a Mental Health Therapist, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavioral Health Technician (BHT).

Responsibilities
