About The Position

Chrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We believe very strongly in the importance of having a safe place to heal from emotional trauma, and in providing high quality, evidence-based treatment. We offer a variety of mental health services including medication management and interventional treatments for PTSD, depression, and other mental illnesses. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC or LMFT) to join our team in New Mexico. This is an in-office position, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling
  • LMHC, LMFT or License eligible in the state of New Mexico
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, as well as psychology, therapy and counseling approaches
  • Strong analytical skills to assess a patient’s situation and build treatment plans
  • Excellent listening skills to best understand a patient’s issues and concerns
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively guide patients and establish trust
  • Crisis intervention skills to respond to patients in acute distress

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DBT, ERP or EMDR a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family therapy to adults and adolescents with various mental health concerns
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans that are tailored to each client's unique needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records and progress notes
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities
