About The Position

Pinnacle Pointe Outpatient offers a wide range of outpatient services across the state of Arkansas with service delivery models to fit the various needs of patients as young as age 5. We address a variety of emotional/behavioral health needs for children, teens and adults in a traditional clinic-based setting, but we‘re also able to offer support by providing options for therapy sessions in the school or home. As a part of Pinnacle Pointe Behavioral Health System, we bring over 25 years of experience providing quality care to children and adolescents. At Pinnacle Pointe Outpatient, we bring that same experience and attention when treating our adult population.
The Pinnacle Pointe Outpatient Internship provides graduate-level counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an outpatient setting while developing clinical assessment, treatment planning, group facilitation, and case management skills.
Under the supervision of licensed clinicians and Director of Clinical Services, the Therapist Intern will participate in the delivery of therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in: Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Eligible to complete a field placement or practicum through an accredited academic institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Commitment to professionalism, ethical practice, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Observe and participate in psychosocial assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Co-facilitate therapeutic groups and psychoeducational sessions.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Provide support with discharge planning and coordination of community resources.
• Complete clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in clinical supervision and professional development activities.
