About The Position
We provide specialized, multidisciplinary care for patients recovering from traumatic brain injury, mild traumatic brain injury, and post-concussion syndrome. Our services include neurological evaluation, advanced diagnostic testing, behavioral health treatment, individualized care planning, and rehabilitation coordination. Our team works collaboratively to address the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and psychological effects of brain injury. Our goal is to help patients achieve meaningful recovery, improve daily functioning, and enhance their overall quality of life. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Doctor of Psychology degree to join our growing traumatic brain injury program in Florida. This hybrid position combines in-clinic patient care with community and field-based responsibilities. The psychologist will provide behavioral health assessment and psychotherapy for patients experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychological symptoms following traumatic brain injury, concussion, and other neurological conditions. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, organized, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing evidence-based psychological care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
Requirements
- Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology
- Current Florida license as a Licensed Psychologist preferred
- Candidates eligible for Florida licensure through reciprocity, endorsement, or another applicable pathway may also be considered
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable providing care in both clinical and community-based settings
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Nice To Haves
- Experience treating patients with traumatic brain injury, concussion, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, neurological conditions, or cognitive impairment preferred
- Training in evidence-based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or related modalities preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral health assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s symptoms, functional needs, and recovery goals
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to patients recovering from traumatic brain injury, concussion, and other neurological conditions
- Address symptoms such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, adjustment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and cognitive-behavioral challenges associated with brain injury
- Complete evaluations, treatment notes, progress documentation, and care plans accurately and within required timeframes
- Collaborate with neurologists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, coping strategies, treatment approaches, and recovery expectations
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary treatment planning
- Travel locally as needed to provide community-based services and support continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with all applicable clinical, ethical, documentation, and regulatory standards
