About The Position

Arisa Health is searching for candidates to fill Mental Health Technician positions in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This role involves providing services to clients under the general supervision of registered nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, or other qualified personnel. The technician will perform tasks within their scope of preparation and permitted by facility and governmental guidelines. They will function as part of an interdisciplinary team, assisting in coordinating services, including planning, monitoring, documenting, and evaluating client services. Key duties include observing clients' physical conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatment, reporting significant changes to supervisors, maintaining appropriate documentation, and utilizing behavioral techniques to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, responding appropriately in crisis situations.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Maintenance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for Healthcare Workers.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Must be patient, consistent, and flexible.
  • Must be able to work in a team setting.
  • Must be able to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a residential setting or working in the mental health field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing services to clients under the general supervision of registered nurses, physicians, psychiatrists or other qualified personnel.
  • Performing tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of local, state, and federal guidelines; and the policies of the facility requesting the services.
  • Functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team and assist with the coordination of services including planning, monitoring, documenting and conducting evaluations of services to clients.
  • Making observations regarding clients’ physical conditions, behaviors and responses to treatment and reporting any significant changes to appropriate supervisor and other staff members.
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Utilizing behavioral techniques to prevent injury to patients and others and to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients; respond appropriately in crisis situations.
