About The Position

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Mental Health Technician (Resident Coordinator) to join their team. This role involves supervising residents in AMFM Healthcare's Transitional Living Homes, ensuring a safe, supportive, and caring environment to promote well-being and recovery. The Resident Coordinator will cooperate with management and clinical staff, possess knowledge of client supervision, and be familiar with concepts of recovery from mental health and co-occurring disorders. AMFM Healthcare is dedicated to preventing tragedies caused by untreated mental illness and offers evidence-based treatment, personalized care, and a community fostering healing, empathy, and hope.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must pass ADP Selective Screening Services and any additional required background checks
  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to work on a computer, walk/stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs., and navigate stairs
  • Strong communication skills with families, clients, and staff
  • Ability to remain professional, empathetic, and patient under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite

Responsibilities

  • Providing Direct Support – Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring a structured and supportive environment
  • Transportation & Safety – Safely transport clients to scheduled activities and medical appointments
  • Behavioral Observation – Monitor client behavior, document observations, and collaborate with clinical teams
  • Medication Support – Work with the nursing team to oversee medication self-administration
  • Environment Maintenance – Maintain cleanliness and organization within residential facilities
  • Facilitating Group Activities – Lead and document recovery-focused group sessions
  • Emergency Response – Adhere to safety protocols, conduct safety drills, and respond to crises as needed
