Website: https://windsorlaurelwood.com/ The Mental Health Technician is a vital part of Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Health’s treatment team. This is a full time position with an opportunity to work on the day, evening, or overnight shift. Our full time positions require employees to work every other weekend and there is a competitive shift differential for the evening, night, and weekend shifts. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • College student who has obtained or are pursuing their degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services are preferred
  • Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
  • Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
  • Assist with patient groups and activities
  • Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs
  • Provide trauma informed and age-specific care
  • Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques
