About The Position

Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Mental Health Technician to work 12-hour shifts during the day. This role involves performing vital services in caring for personal needs and providing comfort to patients and families, with services tailored to the age of the patient population. The technician will function as a member of the treatment team, performing specific patient care and program duties, including program implementation and milieu management. Responsibilities also include documenting and recording patient care, such as observations and personal care, under the direction of a registered nurse. The role requires assisting in creating and maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to established program documents, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the hospital and department. The position works under the supervision of a registered nurse and requires data entry skills and the ability to manage multiple phone systems and voicemails.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with two or more years of post-high school education, majoring in behavioral health, psychology, sociology, nursing, or other psychiatric/medical related program.

Responsibilities
