About The Position

Be the therapeutic presence patients remember. As an MHT, you create a calm, structured milieu where healing can take root —stepping in with adaptability wherever you’re needed most. We are looking for team members that can commit to 3 shifts per month.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• Age 21+
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and assist with lifts/transfers as needed.
• Empathy, consistency, and clear communication.

Nice To Haves

• Some college or STNA/EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform frequent safety rounds, observations, and 1:1s as assigned; document behaviors and interventions.
• Lead or assist with groups: coping skills, grounding, recreation, and ADLs support.
• Partner with RNs during crises using verbal de-escalation, redirection, and team response protocols.
• Support admissions/intakes: belongings inventory, vitals, and orientation to the unit.
• Maintain a therapeutic, tidy environment and uphold visitor policies.
• Float between units/shifts to cover needs; learn new routines quickly.
• Build rapport fast with patients and teams while maintaining consistency of care.
