About The Position
This position will be located at our Cottonwood Care Home in Ashford, Alabama. The schedule is a 12-hour Pitman schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM, alternating between Week I (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) and Week II (Monday, Thursday, Friday). An Alabama State Retirement Option is available.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- Good MVR, willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
- Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age).
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
Responsibilities
- Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
- Teaching group and individual basic living skills
- Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
- Ensure efficient operation of the facility
- Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
- Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system
