About The Position
This position is for a Mental Health Technician II located at the Dusy Home in Dothan, Alabama. The role operates on a 12-hour Pitman schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, covering specific days across two weeks, including weekends. Key responsibilities involve meeting consumer needs through various activities like meal preparation and facility cleaning, teaching basic living skills, providing transportation, ensuring efficient facility operation, assisting with medication under nurse supervision, and completing electronic health record documentation.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- Must be 21 years or older, good MVR, and willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
Responsibilities
- Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
- Teaching group and individual basic living skills
- Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
- Ensure efficient operation of the facility
- Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
- Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system
