About The Position

Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services. The Mental Health Tech (MHT), creates a safe environment for patients, observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reporting this information to the nursing team, saves lives, when necessary, provides hope, empowers patients, and teaches new tools for coping to patients. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, individual/family education groups and activities of daily living. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of psychiatric group processes
Knowledge of therapeutic relationships processes
Knowledge of age specific growth and development
Knowledge of limit setting and behavior management
Knowledge of crisis management with aggressive behaviors
CPR training preferred or ability to learn

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred
One-year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred
