About The Position

Foundations Behavioral Health is hiring a Mental Health Technician for a weekend position. The schedule is 8 hours per week, every other Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The technician observes, reports, and records patient behaviors under nursing supervision and helps maintain a safe and secure unit environment for patients and staff in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Overtime may be available on various shifts for interested employees. Foundations Behavioral Health provides behavioral health treatment and academic services to children, adolescents, and young adults. Its care continuum spans hospitalization through outpatient and academic services, in a homelike environment on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Option 1: Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in a human services area, including psychology, sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary or special education, or family therapy.
Option 2: High school diploma or GED plus two years of paid or unpaid experience in a human services role involving direct contact, such as coaching, teaching, or case management.
Must be compassionate and demonstrate understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Respiratory fit testing is required.
