About The Position
Our 62-bed Behavioral Health Unit is seeking compassionate mental health clinicians to care for patients with psychiatric illnesses. Our recovery-oriented program provides opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative care environment. The unit includes a 62-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Center with an Adult Psych Unit (ages 18-64) and a Geriatric Psych Unit (ages 65 and older) which requires assistance with all aspects of daily living. The center also offers an Intensive Outpatient Program and ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy). There is also a New Graduate Program for RN’s passionate about Behavioral Health.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- No experience required Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- Crisis Prevention within 60 Days Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health sciences Preferred
- experience in Behavioral health and/or addictive disease Preferred
- Inpatient Behavioral Health experience HIGHLY preferred
Responsibilities
- Supports the mission of the organization as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of the highest quality healthcare to include individualized patient and family-centered, holistic and supportive care in a safe and caring environment.
- Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- Provides care and interaction to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment with assistance from other healthcare members.
- Functions as a member of the therapeutic team as designed by the policies and procedures of Piedmont Behavioral Health.
