About The Position
Elevate is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide community-based residential support to individuals working to stabilize and manage mental health and/or substance use challenges. This position plays an important role in helping individuals successfully navigate recovery and crisis stabilization through supportive skill development, therapeutic groups, and direct client care. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in behavioral health, human services, or community-based care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in adult care, mental health, substance use treatment, or human services preferred.
- A caring, patient, and person-centered approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements, including background screening, driver’s license verification, and drug/TB testing where required for the position.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support and supervision to individuals receiving residential services.
- Assist individuals with developing and practicing daily living, coping, and recovery skills.
- Support crisis stabilization efforts through compassionate engagement and structured activities.
- Facilitate and participate in therapeutic and skill-building groups.
- Complete required documentation related to client services.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
